Turkey is one of the most popular destinations for living, working and holidays, and the need for cash lira comes up constantly. At Brothers Exchange you can exchange crypto for cash Turkish lira and back in four cities: Istanbul, Antalya, Alanya and Mersin. Here is how it works.

Where the exchange is available

Istanbul — the country's largest city and business centre;
Antalya and Alanya — the Mediterranean coast, home to many foreign residents;
Mersin — a major port city in the south of the country.

Available directions

Crypto → cash lira (TRY): Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT on TRC-20, ERC-20 and TON, and USDC ERC-20.
Cash lira → crypto — the same six assets.
Cash euros → USDT ERC-20.

For example: USDT TRC-20 to cash lira, Bitcoin to cash lira or cash lira to USDT TRC-20. The rate and the minimum and maximum amounts are shown in the form before you create an order.

The lira rate and why it is locked

The Turkish lira can be volatile, which makes rate locking especially important. The order rate is locked for 60 minutes when the order is created. If you send your crypto within this period and in the amount specified in the order, the exchange is carried out at the locked rate.

If the payment arrives later or in a different amount, a new rate applies only with your explicit consent; otherwise the funds are refunded. When you pay in cash, the operator will tell you the amount at the current rate before completing the acceptance; if you do not agree, your cash is returned to you in full on the spot.

How the exchange works

Choose the direction, the city and the amount, and enter your Telegram contact and email address.
Create the order. Within 2 working hours, the operator agrees the meeting place and time with you in local time (the operator is online daily from 8:00 to 20:00 Warsaw time).
When selling crypto, send it in a single transaction to the address on the order page — the lira is handed over at the meeting once the required number of network confirmations is reached.
When buying crypto, hand over the cash at the meeting: it is counted and checked in your presence, and the crypto is sent to your address within 30 minutes.

Useful tips

Check in advance which network you are sending USDT from: TRC-20, ERC-20 and TON are different exchange directions.
If you send USDT from an exchange, allow for its withdrawal fee: the full order amount must arrive.
Count the cash and check its authenticity before the handover is complete — it is your right.
Keep the email with the order parameters: it shows the rate, the amounts and the order's validity period.
Come to the meeting yourself: the sender and the recipient of funds under an order must be the person who created it.

Checks and security

Every incoming crypto transaction goes through an automatic AML check. Documents are not requested by default — only if the check shows an elevated risk or the law requires it. See the AML / KYT / KYC Policy for details.
